About Rachel Scott

Rachel Scott is a journalist, reporter and producer. She worked in the White House under the Obama Administration at the young age of nineteen. At the White House, Rachel assisted in the management of press for Presidential and White House Administration’s interviews with media outlets. She assisted in the preparatory process of White House Administration official’s media interviews by gathering preparatory and guidance questions. During her six months at the White House, Rachel sat in on several Presidential interviews including President Obama’s interview with Dianne Sawyer, Barbara Walters, Steve Kroft, and Jessica Yellen. A year after graduating from high school, Rachel was selected from hundreds of applicants for a four-year fellowship with CBS 2 News and KCAL 9 News through the Emma Bowen Foundation. As a paid fellow, Rachel works full time in the summer. After two summers as a fellow, Rachel was hired as a freelance writer, a position that is only given to candidates with a bachelors degree and several years working in news. Rachel attends the University of Southern California, where she has served as an anchor, reporter and producer for Annenberg Televison News. She also works for The SCoop on Trojan Vision and BlackTreeTV, where is has interviewed many celeberties and covered many movie premieres and award shows.
